Water Marks Rising Higher on Walls
Staining patterns that historically appeared at the base of the wall and are now visible at progressively higher points indicate that water intrusion volume is increasing. The cove joint, the seam where the basement wall meets the floor slab, is the most common water entry point in Middle Tennessee basements. The wall and floor are poured separately, creating an inherent gap between them.
