[ 01 ]  The Honest Answer

What you should know about helical projects and solar fields

Where Helical Piers Earn Their Keep on Commercial Sites

Middle Tennessee's commercial development pace has accelerated significantly across Rutherford, Williamson, and Davidson counties. Ground Up Foundation Repair has delivered commercial helical pier systems since 2009, working alongside structural engineers, general contractors, and solar developers who need torque-documented, load-verified pier installations at project scale.

Helical piers are ideal for commercial applications because they can be installed in tight access conditions, require no cure time, and deliver immediate load capacity verified by torque correlation on every pier.

Commercial Project Categories We Handle

  • Solar array ground mounts: Engineered helical pier systems for utility-scale and commercial solar fields.
  • Pre-construction commercial foundations: Helical piers under new commercial footings before pour.
  • Lift stations and utility infrastructure: Sewer lift stations, pump houses, and utility pads.
  • Underpinning of existing commercial structures: Settling commercial slabs and foundations stabilized without demolition.

Call us at (615) 880-6449 to discuss your project.

Commercial helical pier pricing depends on pier diameter, depth, site access, and total pier count. Contact us for a project estimate. Typical cost range for this service, depending on scope and site conditions.
When this isn't the fix: Push piers or micro-piles may be more appropriate for heavier structures where helical torque installation is not practical given soil or access conditions.

[ 02 ]  How It Works

What to expect, start to finish

Site Visit and Soils Review

A project manager meets the contractor, owner, or engineer on-site to review the geotech report and assess access, soil layering, and project logistics.

Engineered Installation Plan

Pier layout with shaft diameter, helix configuration, target torque, and installation depth. Coordinated with the project's structural engineer when required.

Crew Mobilization

Crews arrive on schedule with equipment sized for the site and soil conditions. Daily progress is logged against the project pier schedule.

Torque Monitoring and Closeout

Live torque data is captured for every pier. As-built records and load documentation are delivered with the final invoice.

Commercial helical pier work in Middle Tennessee demands site-specific engineering. Tennessee's karst and red clay don't follow a predictable script, which is why torque monitoring on every pier isn't optional for us.
