[ 01 ]  The Honest Answer

What you should know about general contractors and builders

What General Contractors Need from a Foundation Sub

General contractors in Middle Tennessee cannot afford a foundation subcontractor who misses schedules, delivers incomplete documentation, or creates warranty liability. Ground Up Foundation Repair has worked alongside GCs and builders since 2009 and understands what drives a successful subcontractor relationship.

How We Work with General Contractors

  • Pre-construction helical piers: We install pier systems under new commercial and residential construction footings before the foundation pour. Torque documentation is delivered to the GC or engineer of record at each pier.
  • Foundation remediation during construction: When soil conditions or plan changes require mid-project foundation modifications, we mobilize quickly.
  • Slab and concrete repair on active sites: Settled or damaged concrete repaired with polyurethane foam or mechanical lifting.
  • Warranty work and post-close callbacks: We stand behind our installations.

Call us at (615) 880-6449 or email to get on our subcontractor list.

[ 02 ]  How It Works

What to expect, start to finish

Pre-Bid Review

We review the project documents, soils report, and foundation plans. We provide a clear bid with scope, timeline, and documentation deliverables.

Schedule Coordination

We confirm mobilization timing with the GC superintendent and align our pier installation schedule with the pour date.

Installation and Torque Logging

Crews install pier systems per the engineered plan. Every pier is torque-logged and data is recorded for the closeout package.

Closeout Documentation

As-builts, torque logs, warranty documents, and material submittals are delivered in the format the GC requires.

GCs need a foundation sub who protects their schedule and their warranty. We work around your timeline, not the other way around, and we hand over documentation that survives closeout review.
